St. Stephen University College (SSUC) is an International practical and transformative University College with a global appeal driven by strategic pursuit of knowledge, wisdom, excellence, research and innovation in responding to the dynamic needs of the industry in various sectors and society in general. The key primary purpose of St. Stephen University College is to provide a quality learning environment in which all faculties, students and staff can learn, acquire and transmit the knowledge, values and wisdom that will enhance societal quality of life, fairness and justice including the survival of present and future generation. St. Stephen University College aims at helping its students to develop a holistic understanding of today’s dynamic world built on multiculturalism, religions, and social economic systems and to enable them appreciate their potential academic intellectuality to enhance social economic development and the wellbeing of the environment. The University College endeavours to enrol and develop its students internationally from different social, economic and religious backgrounds and also to serve the vulnerable groups who are disadvantaged to access education because of their economic status.

The mission of St. Stephen University College encompasses; providing quality education, skills training, research and development through providing an inclusive learning environment and engaging in income generating projects through agriculture production units which also would serve as centers of excellence. St. Stephen University College aims at helping its students to develop a holistic understanding of today’s dynamic world built on multiculturalism, religions, and social economic systems and to enable them appreciate their potential academic intellectuality to enhance social economic development and the wellbeing of the environment.
In order to fulfil its mission the university will endeavor to:
- Develop, offer and deliver broader based both academic and non-academic quality programs that are innovative and skillfully empowering at both the levels of undergraduate, professional, postgraduate and open learning.
- Engage in broader based research and innovation to generate new knowledge and information as a solution to effectively mitigate societal challenges encompassing social, economic, development and other societal spheres of life as a productive way to meeting their needs.
- Build dynamic academic and professional leadership in the fields of; studies, research and innovation and all aspects of learning.
- Provide access to quality of education to the vulnerable groupings in society through providing scholarships, financial aid, grants and other academic incentives.
- Create academic platforms and networks for continuous learning through local and international partnerships with other universities, industry associations, public institutions, private sector institutions and seek the benefits of staff from faculties, students and university educational resources.
- Sustain quality and excellence in all academic and professional programs in order to produce well educated, skilful and morally inclined graduates with value to society.
- Integrate and emphasise in the University College policies key issues of; the need for justice, fairness, respect for multicultural global society, culture of responsibility to the environment and society.
